Accessories

Now, you of course don't need a lot of accessories to play any TTRPG's. But I'm a little magpie who loves my trinkets, especially if they come in many colours. So it was very easy to start a dice collection. So many pretty dice in so many pretty colours! Whoahhh.
I store mine in small jam jars that I got off the internet, and they live on top of our library. Sorted by colour, of course. This is not the entire collection, since there are always dice that are being used for a character right now that live in their dice bags. And, I have specific dice that I use for divination that live on my Divination Station.

Dice Palettes

One thing I love to do is to make dice palettes for the characters that I am playing. Sometimes that means taking two full sets that fit the character, but other times I like to mix and match sets to get a fun mix of everything. Some dice palettes I played with over the years:

a set of mixmatched dice laying on a black surface. The dice are in order: bright orange, neon yellow, neon purple, speckled pink, speckled pink, frosted blue, and neon green.

A diceset I made for Kalaea She was part of a Starfinder campaign, so I wanted a lot of neon colours that fit the vibe. The orange die I actually stole from my wife's Infiniti game xD

a set of mixmatched dice laying on a brown surface. A pot of honey sits in the background. A honey dipper is laying next to the dice. The dice are in order: sharp edge clear yellow, sharp edge opaque yellow, sharp edge clear brown, glitter gold, glitter gold, black and yellow striped, clear brown and yellow.

This dice set is for Honey I actually bought all of these dice separate to make this set. I really wanted a honeybee vibe for this one, so I especially love the d6 with the stripes. Not pictured here (yet) is another sharp edge set with tiny little bees on them, that I added to this set. It's still one of my favourites.

a black lace bag is laying on a wooden table with two sets of dice spilling out. One set is smokey black with bright green numbers. The other is neon green with white numbers

A spooky smokey black and bright green set for my witch; Fennox Pherrox-Redmayne I also hand-sew the dicebag! Which was in fact, my first dicebag, and round! So that was an adventure in and of itself. This set served me well, they kept rolling pretty darn high when I needed it.

a hexagon shaped dice box on a wooden surfave. Inside is a set of mismatched dice is various shades of seablues, some shells, and a d20 coin

This set I unfortunately was only able to use for like two sessions, because then the campaign died. But! I had a lot of fun mixing and matching sets into something fun. This set was for Tani, a sea genasi surfer! Which also brings me to:

Rolling Stuff!

a hexagon dice tray in greens and blues with waves on the side. The inside is covered in brown leather stamped with swirls. There are blue dice laying next to the dicebox
a closeup of the side of the dicebox, showing the waves in detail

I am still pretty darn proud of this dicebox! I had the wooden hexagon base and dyed it with distress oxide ink in greens and blues. Then added the wave patterns with posca pen. I had a scrap of this gorgeous embossed leather and it was just enough to make a soft landing place for the dice

a wooden dice tower standing on a table, opened a wooden dice tower standing on a table, folded closed

My friend and current DM MADE me this amazing folding dice tower! How cool is that?! There's also my (old, for now) initial and some flowery things burned into the front. I love this thing, it is so cool.

Other Shinies

a photo of a miniature. She is a woodelf wearing a loincloth and bikinitop, holding a staff the same mini, but with greenstuff the staff is changed into a broom, the loincloth into a skirt, and she now has a hat with candles on the brim.

front view of the mini now painted. The fabric is all in purples and the candles are everburning. back view of the mini now painted. The fabric is all in purples and her hair is light brown.

For Fennox I really wanted her to look like a witch. That was not easy to find! Most minis are made inspired by the D& (&)D classes, which does not have a witch. But we were playing pathfinder. So, I still had the mini from my very first character, I had greenstuff, I had the audacity to just FAFO. And this is the result! Turned the loincloth into a skirt, the staff into a broom, and added the witchhat and everburning candles. I still love how this turned out, especially since clay is not my best medium, to put it lightly.

three wooden tokens laying on a wooden table together with some yellow dice. The tokens feature a drawn d20 in black, with golden rays radiating out

When I was GM of my own campaign, I wanted to make some simple but pretty inspiration tokens to give to my players. I had these wooden disks still from a different art project, and I love the bark edges that are still on there. So I took my trusted Posca paint pens and added the d20 shape and the rays. Simple, but fun!
